To help you get started with the .NET Micro Framework without hardware, Microsoft provided an emulator. On the right you can see the default emulator that is provided in the 3.0 version of the Software Development Kit. The default emulator has 5 buttons (Up/Down/Select/Left/Right), Network access and a 320x240 pixel screen. To emulate external hardware or a custom board you can build your own customized emulator.
